🎬 RACCOIN Beginner's Guide
RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike can look chaotic at first, but the early game is built around a few readable decisions. Learn the floor loop, pick a forgiving character, and stop wasting your best coins on low-value board states.
Understand the Floor Loop First
Push Phase
You spend drop charges to place coins into the machine. Coins score when they fall from the far ledge, and special effects often matter more than raw base value.
- Do not dump all drops immediately: watch how the ledge develops before spending your premium coins.
- Board density matters: TNT, MultiCoin, and other payoff coins are much better once the ledge is already worth cashing out.
- Read floor modifiers early: bonus conditions can change what you want your first few drops to accomplish.
Reward Phase
After a clear, you add coins and buy chips. This is the real deckbuilding layer of RACCOIN.
- Early picks compound hardest: a chip bought on floor 2 pays out on every later floor.
- Stay coherent: a synergy piece is usually stronger than a random high-rarity pickup with no clear fit.
Pick the Right First Character
Start with Biologist
Biologist is the easiest first character because Cat Coin plus Rat Coin gives you a natural sustain engine. That means you are less likely to run out of drop charges while still learning how the machine behaves.
- Why she is beginner-friendly: the run gives you clear structure from the start.
- What to look for: Rat density, Cat timing, and Animal Tamer in the shop.
- Main mistake: dropping Cat before enough Rats are active.
Use Raccoon Manager after a few runs
Raccoon Manager has the highest score ceiling, but he asks you to understand combo timing and multiplier sequencing first.
Treat Gambler and Pyro as later lessons
Gambler can feel amazing but is high variance. Pyro has huge burst scoring, but only if you can judge board state well enough to avoid wasting explosives.
Know the First Coins That Matter
Seed Coin
Seed Coin is an early-game economy piece. It gets much better when Water Coin or Fertilizer shows up soon after.
- Best use: early floors where passive value still has time to compound.
- Main mistake: buying into this lane too late.
TNT Coin
TNT is not an early tempo button. It is a payoff button.
- Best use: dense boards with enough coins to justify a real detonation.
- Main mistake: dropping it onto an empty or half-developed ledge.
MultiCoin
MultiCoin is one of the most important score pieces in the game, but only once your chain is already real.
- Best use: during or at the end of a real combo sequence.
- Main mistake: spending it before the board is ready to multiply.
Cat Coin
Cat Coin is only good when it has enough Rats to hunt.
- Best use: when 3 or more Rats are already active.
- Main mistake: treating Cat like a generic value coin.
Early Shop Priority
1. Score Multiplier
This is the safest generic buy in RACCOIN because it improves every future score event instead of only one narrow setup.
2. Coin Doubler
This gets stronger the earlier you buy it and turns almost any real payout piece into a better finisher.
3. Animal Tamer for Biologist
If you are already in Cat plus Rat, Animal Tamer is one of the clearest run-defining purchases you can make.
4. Explosion Amplifier for Pyro or TNT lines
If your run is already leaning into explosives, this often matters more than cute off-plan value.
Top Beginner Mistakes
Wasting payoff coins on weak boards
TNT, MultiCoin, and Rainbow all get blamed when the real problem is that the ledge was not worth cashing out yet.
Ignoring floor modifiers
Some floors reward a specific line. If you do not read that before your first drop, you may miss easy free value.
Breaking your own lane
Once the run starts to tell you it wants Cat sustain, Seed economy, or multiplier chain, stop drafting like every new shiny pickup is equally useful.
Simple First-Run Checklist
- Choose Biologist unless you already understand combo timing.
- Read the floor modifier before spending your first premium drop.
- Take Score Multiplier if the shop offers it and you are not in a rare edge case.
- Hold TNT and MultiCoin until the board is actually ready.
- Do not spend Cat Coin before you have enough Rats to make it worth the charge.
